David & I have been busy planning and preparing for baby number three. I think the shock is finally starting to wear off. I will be 18 weeks on Monday. We have an appointment on July 26th to find out the sex of the baby. I don't think either of us care whether it is a boy or girl as long as it is healthy.
It's funny how life can change in just a moment's time. I went to the doctor back in May to discuss a problem I was having and left with prenatal vitamins and a diagnosis of - pregnant. After all we have been through with infertility, finding out we were pregnant on our own was almost comical. I guess God really has a great plan for this little guy or girl.
In January we started attending Church of the Highlands. We are loving every minute of our new church and meeting lots of new friends. We have gotten involved with the Dream Team. It is blessing us in more ways that we could have ever imagined. This weekend we will be working with our small group on a service project with a family in Birmingham.
Hal is busy growing like a weed. He just turned five years old and knows EVERYTHING. Just yesterday, as I was making his lunch, I offered to share my Coke with him. Of course he started praising me and telling me what a great mother I am. Then he said, "Mom, some kids don't get Coke, right?" I agreed and he followed up shaking his head in dismay, "Some kids just live in RVs and don't get Coke." I have no idea where he gets this stuff. Today he started telling me about his girlfriend "Allison". He asked if it would be ok if she came over for dinner tonight. I could go on and on with funny conversations with Hal. He definitely has a personality all his own!
Hayes is also growing like a weed and walking all over the house. He just turned 1 year old. He is enjoying his big brother and learning all of his traits (good and bad). He really hates having his diaper changed and large crowds of people. He loves electrical outlets and anything else that might cause severe injury. It is hard to believe he has been our little baby for over a year now. Time is really flying by. I hope he's ready for his big brother role!
