Today has been a long but funny day. David went to the race so Hal and I had the whole day to ourselves. When I say the whole day, I mean from 5:50 AM till 9:00 PM. We didn't even go to church today because he's had an ear infection and been on antibiotics all week. Anyway, he has been both driving me crazy and cracking me up all at the same time. Tonight as I was sitting in the bathroom waiting on him to "go potty," we had the funniest conversation about somebody coming in his house and poo pooing in his potty. When he finished, I reminded him to wash his hands and he asked me why. I told him that boys and girls need to wash their hands after they go to the bathroom. Before I could even finish my sentence he said, "Oh yeah, that's just good mayonnaise, right Mama." I died laughing when I realized he was trying to say good manners!
Then, as I was putting him in the bed tonight, he asked me to sing the "Conk Girl" song. I told him that I didn't know that song and it was time to lie down, but he wouldn't drop it. He insisted that I sing the Conk Girl song. Finally, he said, "You know that song that Cheese (Steve's wife) sings." At that point, I realized what he was talking about. He wanted me to sing the Auburn Fight Song - War Eagle fly down the field ever to CONK GIRL never to yield. :) I love this kid.
