We have been at the beach since Saturday. We only have showers at the house, no bathtubs. Hal had to take showers with Da instead. He sure missed playing in the bathtub and his fingernails were pretty dirty!

How old are you?

We've been practicing the number 2 since Hal will turn two in a month. When you ask him how old he is he will say, "chew." He has some trouble making his fingers stay in the 2 position. He gets a little frustrated as you can see in the top picture! :)

The Countdown is On!

Well, the countdown to the end of the school year is officially on! Only 4 more days with students and Friday is a teacher workday. Please pray for me this week as it is somewhat like trying to tame wild animals during the last week of school. I posted this picture because this is the "happy place" I will have to think about whenever I feel like I am going to lose it this week. I'm really just kidding because my class this year has been one of my best ever. I have enjoyed my first year at my new school. It is hard to believe that I am about to complete my 5th year as a fourth grade teacher. Only 20 more years until retirement! :)

These are some pictures of my mom - better known as Mimi. Most people say we look alike. My mother is the best mom anyone could ask for. I can honestly say that she is my best friend. One day when Hal is my age, I hope he feels the same way about me.

Taking a few pictures

Hal has been using our old digital camera to take some pictures of his own. He really likes to take pictures of himself. When you tell him to say "cheese" he replies - "cheese burger and a coke." This kid has definitely had his share of Happy Meals.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. I don't have to tell you how embarrassed I was today when Hal threw a fit in Wal Mart while wearing this shirt. He was holding some baby body wash and unfortunately they don't allow you to leave without paying for it. He had a death grip on this silly body wash and did not want to give it up so that the lady could scan the bar code. He let out a scream that was heard throughout the store as he and I were in a tug-a-war over the body wash. I received some pretty shameful looks from my fellow shoppers.

Happy Mother's Day!

We had a great day today! We spent the first half of the day with David's family. They came over to our house for a cookout. Then we went to spend the rest of the day with my family. We are very lucky to have such wonderful mothers and grandmothers. I know we can never repay them for all that they do for us.
