Cutie Patootie!

Well, I have finally had a chance to update the blog. Today has been a much needed day of rest. David got up with Hal and let me sleep in until 11:00!! Right now, Hal is at his Nana's house playing with/torturing Milly Grace (Nana's dog).

It seems like we have been going nonstop around here for the past 2 months. It has been nice to have a chance to relax today. I thought I might give everyone an update on our family.

David - David has just started a new job at a local law firm in Birmingham. He is still doing the same kind of work he has been doing. He absolutely LOVES it. His boss is such a great person and easy to work with. What a blessing!

Me - School started back at the beginning of August and I have been running crazy ever since. For those of you who don't know, I teach fourth grade at a local school. I changed schools because I wanted to get closer to home, and teach at the school where Hal will go one day. This is my second year at this new school and I am finally settling in to working without all of my buddies in P.G. Anyway, school is going well and my class is great.

Hal - Hal just started at a new Mother's Day Out program. He is still going to his old MDO program one day a week because he is SO attached to his teacher Mrs. Sue. I think this new program is going to be good too. He is learning all sorts of new things each day. I cried this week because I realized that my baby is growing up so fast.

We are really starting to see Hal's personality unfold. He is very shy and quiet around new people and new situations. His teachers tell us that he is laid back and content. What? This is the complete opposite of the child we see at home. I guess if you have to be wild & demanding, it needs to be at home and not at school. Hal is very much the TWO-YEAR-OLD lately. He gets so bored so quickly. I now know the meaning of the Terrible Twos. He whines constantly on the days we have to stay around here. Unless, David lets him drive his truck or cut the grass. He just never wants to be at home. He's always ready to go to the park, the "Ga-ria Mall" (Galleria Mall), Chick-fil-a, Mimi & Pop's house, Nana's house, Mama's school, or the fire station/city hall with Pop. Basically, he wants to be anywhere but home.

Playing at Nana's House

Nana gave Hal this new scooter to play with at her house. I believe she said that cousin Kathy gave it to her. Thanks Kathy!

Hal & Milly Grace - A Love/Hate Relationship

Milly Gracy is Nana's dog. Milly has been treated like a child most of her life. She is living every dog's dream. Well, at least until Hal comes over.

My Boys

Is that a smile? Is he actually smiling?

These are the days of our lives...

Great Mood!

This picture just about sums up the last two weeks at our house. Hal has been in a terrible mood lately. Two weeks ago he started running a fever and we took him to the doctor. He had something called Hand, Foot and Mouth disease. It caused him to have these ulcers all over his throat. Fun. Then, as soon as he started getting over that, he came down with a terrible cold. Even more fun. I thought David and I were going to lose our minds today.

Mom, leave me alone!

He didn't enjoy this, but I thought it would be funny to put his shorts on his head. Oh well, maybe it was only funny to me! :)

War Eagle!

War Eagle! We went to the game on Saturday with Steve & Michelle (David's brother and sister-in-law). We had a great time. We also got to see my best buddy Lorin!
